About Me

The writer you're about to hire!

I'm a technical writer who specializes in making complex technology understandable for everyone. With a background in IT support and journalism, I excel at creating clear, user-focused documentation, from API guides to tutorials, that reduces customer frustration and empowers users.

Skillset

  • Technical Documentation & User Guides
  • API Reference Documentation
  • UX Writing & Content Strategy
  • Information Architecture
  • Simplifying Complex Technical Concepts
  • Audience Analysis & User Advocacy

My first job out of college was as a technician at the New York City College of Technology. My experience in IT support involved successfully guiding non-technical users through troubleshooting, which honed my ability to write clear, step-by-step instructions that solve user problems. A decade later, my role as a technical writer is an elevated form of that same core skill: translating “technobabble” into plain English.

I view my role as that of a translator, a skill I've honed since childhood. As the child of an immigrant family, I was often the designated translator for English and legalese. It’s a skill I’ve carried with me and now apply professionally to bridge the gap between complex technology and the people who use it.

Versatility

My multidisciplinary background has provided me with a unique and versatile skill set:

  • As a journalist, I learned to quickly research and master new, complex topics like medical technology and relay that information using accessible language.
  • As an English tutor, I helped students break down complex ideas and interpret them in their own unique way.
  • In publishing, I guided writers to help them craft and disseminate their ideas effectively.
