Installing and applying a theme to Google Chrome

You can customize Google Chrome to fit your chosen aesthetic. This guide provides the steps to install a new theme on your browser.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the More options icon (the three vertical dots or kebab icon).

  1. Select Settings, then click Appearance.

  1. Click Theme to open the Chrome Web Store, then search or browse for a theme (for example, Mountain Crows).

  1. Click Add to Chrome. A confirmation banner appears verifying the installation. To revert immediately, click Undo.

Resetting to the default theme​

To remove a custom theme and restore Chrome's original appearance:

  1. Open Settings and select Appearance.
  2. Next to Theme, click Reset to default.

On Linux, Google Chrome can adapt to your desktop environment's GTK or Qt settings. In the Appearance menu, you can toggle between your desktop theme (Use GTK+) and Chrome's default theme (Use classic).
