Installing and applying a theme to Google Chrome

You can customize Google Chrome to fit your chosen aesthetic. Chrome starts with a default theme, and the Chrome Web Store offers themes that restyle the toolbar, tab strip, and New Tab page.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Select the More options icon, the three vertical dots in the Chrome toolbar.

  1. Select Theme to open the Chrome Web Store, then search or browse for a theme such as Mountain Crows.

  1. Select Add to Chrome. Chrome confirms the installation with an Added to Chrome banner. To revert immediately, select Undo.

Resetting to the default theme​

To restore the default Chrome theme:

  1. Select Settings > Appearance.
  2. Next to Theme, select Reset to default. On Linux, select Use Classic instead.

On Linux, Chrome can follow your desktop's GTK or Qt settings. The Appearance page offers Use GTK, Use QT, and Use Classic buttons instead of Reset to default.
